A lion made of paper, suspended on wires a foot in front of a canvas that’s hung on a white brick wall. Which in my head is the most strong but fragile thing ever. The lion is made of paper and can’t really even get wet, but symbolizes the most stoic strength, cuz really lions only flex their enormous power when they need to or are pushed to the utmost. in general they lay dormant. I feel like that fits my personality, i’m really loud but also really quiet and super shy, and then it’s hung in front not on the canvas because if u snap one string it is gone, it’s not connected to the base layer but rather held to it by connections to other forces, a lot of built up kinetic energy, and the brick wall is really just a modified gallery wall bc we happened to see a dope ass white brick wall…BUT it actually better represents what the gallery represents which is a world you can’t escape where you have no say in the rules, bricks only stack and create the same square namespace no matter what, unless you apply outside thought…same as the emptiness of a gallery…it’s nothing without the ideas that fill it - and that sums up my place (our place) in reality (reality being the emptiness that we (me/thelion) fill with those connections and strings and put on the canvas (our experience) to present our “reality”
